Consortium History
Mike Markos launched the first Consortium for Shared Service Leaders in Florida in 2003, followed by others in different locations in the United States. As Shared Services organizations became multi-functional and global over the ensuing decade, and embraced selective outsourcing, this forum became the Global Business Services consortium of today.
In 2010, Mike launched the Travel Performance Task Force for executives and managers of Travel in major companies. Today iTP, or Innovations for Travel Performance, is a benchmarking and conference collaborative for Global Travel Leaders. Our annual KPI reporting is based on comparisons 60 key metrics of travel performance and helps members identify the practices that drive improvement in their organizations.
Other consortiums were launched to focus on managing complex end-to-end processes. Procure-to-Pay launched in 2012, Order-to-Cash in 2018 and Digital GBS in 2019.

John W. Pancoast is founder and Managing Principal of Acquisition Solutions. He has spent more than 25 years specializing in corporate staff function transformation and post-merger integration. He started Acquisition Solutions in 2014 to focus on coaching and guiding leaders in the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
